Welcome to Beemed
Beemed is a medical encyclopedia that any expert can edit, an online educational platformfor doctors, healthcare professionals, patients and companies. http://beemed.com
Beemed will use the blockchain technology. Beemed has the ambition to move the scientific communication from publishers to the scientific community. Beemed will use the blockchain to permanently timestamp manuscripts, ideas or methods. Beemed also intends to amend the traditional peer review concept with the possibility ofrating peer reviews and thus creating a reputation system for reviewers. Finally, and since itation is the currency of research, Beemed will also develop its own metric for citations. Indeed, the huge advantage of blockchain is that all activities are automatically stored, tracked and recorded. These records will enable the calculation of the citation counts out of the black-boxes resulting from algorithms and closed data sources.
In this light, Beemed’s mission is to help all the healthcare actors to learn, improve and always thrive in a fast-paced environment.
